Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 27, 2025

This Privacy Policy describes how Astral Shores Games (“Astral Shores Games,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with our virtual reality title Puzzles of the World (the “Game”). We are based in British Columbia, Canada.

Scope

This Policy applies to the Game as distributed on supported platforms (e.g., Meta Quest). It does not cover third-party services outside our control (e.g., your VR platform provider, app stores, device manufacturers, or external websites).

Summary of current data practices

The current public build of the Game is single-player and offline. In this build, Astral Shores Games does not:

  • collect, transmit, or receive personal information from your device;

  • run analytics, advertising, or user tracking; or

  • require an internet connection for gameplay.

Game settings and progress are stored locally on your device using the platform’s standard save system. Astral Shores Games does not have access to these local files.

Platform & engine information

Although the Game itself does not collect or transmit data, your device and platform services may process certain information to operate safely and reliably:

  • Platform/Device (e.g., Meta Quest). Your VR platform may process device information, diagnostic data, and crash logs under the platform provider’s privacy notices and settings. Astral Shores Games does not receive this platform-level data unless you or the platform explicitly share it with us (for example, if you email us a crash log during support).

  • Engine (Unreal Engine). The Game is built with Unreal Engine. Engine-level error reporting or telemetry, where enabled by the platform, may be processed by the engine provider under their own privacy documentation. Astral Shores Games does not automatically receive engine crash reports or telemetry.

For details on platform/engine processing and your settings or controls, please consult your device/platform privacy pages and Unreal Engine documentation.

Information you choose to share with us

If you contact us (e.g., by email) for support, you may choose to provide information such as crash logs, screenshots, or a description of your device setup. We use this information only to respond to your request and improve reliability. We keep it only as long as necessary to address your issue, then delete it or de-identify it.

Children’s privacy

The current offline build does not collect personal information from users of any age. If we introduce online features in the future, we will implement appropriate parental consent and age-appropriate safeguards where required and update this Policy before those features go live.

Security

The Game is designed to operate offline with on-device storage. While no system can guarantee absolute security, the absence of data collection and transmission substantially reduces privacy risk. If you voluntarily share information with us for support, we protect it with reasonable administrative and technical measures and limit access to personnel who need it.

International data transfers

In the current offline build, Astral Shores Games does not collect or store personal information and therefore does not transfer it internationally. If future online features involve personal data, we will describe any international transfers and the safeguards used (e.g., contractual protections) before such features launch.

Your rights & choices

Because Astral Shores Games does not collect personal data in the current build, there is no personal data for you to access, correct, download, or delete with us.
To manage platform-level data (e.g., crash sharing, device diagnostics, account information), please use your platform’s privacy tools and settings.

Residents of British Columbia and the rest of Canada may have rights under PIPA (BC) and PIPEDA (federal) when organizations collect personal information. If our practices change in a way that brings those rights into play for this Game, we will update this Policy to explain how to exercise them.

No sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising

Astral Shores Games does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising in the current offline build.

Future online or multiplayer features

We may introduce optional online services in the future (for example, cloud saves, leaderboards, user accounts, content updates, or multiplayer). Before those features launch, we will:

  • update this Policy to describe what data we collect, the purposes and legal bases (where applicable), retention, and any sharing;

  • provide clear choices and controls (e.g., access/deletion requests, opt-outs); and

  • give in-app and/or website notice for any material changes.

We will not begin online data collection by Astral Shores Games until the updated Policy is posted and effective.

Changes to this Policy

We may revise this Policy to reflect technical changes, new features, or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the latest version. If we make material changes (especially those introducing online data collection), we will provide prominent notice in-game and/or on our website before the changes take effect.
